A Guide to Eye Care
Yes, the skin works hard. But you know what works harder? Your eyes!
Those restless nights and screen staring (hell, both) can often lead to those unwanted dark, puffy bags and rough, dry texture on that sensitive skin.
But what makes the skin under your eyes so different from the rest of the skin on your face? What ingredients and practices are best to keep our under eyes supple and soft? All your questions answered. You’re welcome, peepers.
First of all, the skin around our eyes is totally different from the other skin on our face (maybe you already noticed). It uniquely doesn’t have any oil glands and is way thinner than your other facial skin. These factors make it more prone to frequent dryness and irritation. In addition, less natural moisture means that under-eye skin is more susceptible to wear and tear and shows the natural signs of aging earlier: cue fine lines and wrinkles.
Point is, it’s never too late for eye cream.
But what makes a good eye cream?! If you want bright, youthful-looking under eyes and smooth, untextured skin, look for these ingredients.
Hyaluronic Acid
This powerhouse ingredient plumps AND helps retain moisture and is the first step to soft and supple skin. We love HA so much that you’ll find it in a few of our other products too ;)
Bakuchiol
A gentle retinol alternative! Bakuchiol helps to stimulate collagen production and improve skin elasticity for firmer skin under and around the eyes.
Hydrating, Nourishing Oils
We especially love squalane (made from olives) and broccoli seed oil to deeply nourish and replenish moisture. These oils are the key to brighter, bouncier skin and a guaranteed well-rested glow.
Ready for that bright-eyed and bushy-tailed look?
Add Bright Eyed, our illuminating eye cream, to your morning skincare routine.
Made from hyaluronic acid and arnica, Bright Eyed visibly plumps and brightens the delicate skin around the eye area. This lightweight cream contains light-reflecting, sustainably sourced peach mica to counteract the appearance of dark circles and shadowy lids, for refreshed and awake looking eyes.
This concentrated, active eye cream contains bakuchiol to smooth and firm the skin under eye and a combination of broccoli seed oil, hyaluronic acid and bakuchiol (a natural alternative to retinol) replenish, regenerate, and regulate the skin’s moisture levels to visibly improve signs of lines, wrinkles and uneven texture around the eyes.
Eye Plump works hard overnight, so all you have to do is sleep.
